Deadline Extended for the SLCC 2008 Mini-Track Submission

Preparing for the Second Life Community Convention in 2008 this year is a fun and crazy process! There have been several track proposals and they all look great. I’ve heard ideas from other people that also sound very interesting, but they’ve needed more time to gather their ideas, information and pull together content. These people were heard, and we’ve giving everyone more time. Now everyone has until January 29th, 2008 to submit their track proposals for review. Here is the official announcement

In response to requests concerning the deadline for the track proposal process, we have decided to extend the deadline for submissions to January 29th, 2008. We understand there are many people who are finally coming off a holiday hangover and requested for more time to fine tune their submissions. We have received some really great proposals and now there is even more time to put together the topic or items that you wish to see and put together at SLCC 2008!

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have and for a copy of the panel submission form, click here.

I can’t wait what more ideas you come up with!

Create your own track at SLCC ‘08

Second Life Community Convention 2008
Since the end of SLCC ‘07, one comment that the Future United, Inc board consistently received was the want to become more involved, and to organize specific tracks. Hearing the concern Randal Moss (the executive director) came up with this great idea, rather than having two days of super-huge mega tracks, why not create mini-tracks that the residents ran… essentially handing organizing a track and the track-leader responsibilities to the Second Life Community. That is exactly what we have done with the 2008 Second Life Community Convention, you have the power to decide the content of the 2008 Second Life Community Convention. Residents are now able to create and submit their RFP’s for mini-tracks for the 2008 Second Life Community Convention in Tampa, FL. All of the instructions, e-mails, and additional information are included. The deadline for submitting your RFP is January 11th, 2008!

I can’t wait to see some of the great ideas that you guys come up with! To take from Snap! “I’ve got the power!”, and yes you the Second Life Community now have the power.
